Kenton Zerbin & New North to Conduct Northern Municipal Tour on Tiny Homes

AIR RONGE – Northern leaders are in the initial stages of developing opportunities and solutions to address housing issues with input from community.

New North Interim CEO Susan McKenzie and Tiny House expert Kenton Zerbin will conduct an education tour of Northern Municipalities to empower communities to grow through tiny homes.

Zerbin is an Alberta-based expert who provides solutions for sustainable living through working with communities and teaching. His work has helped communities create inspirational landscapes and green buildings across the nation.

“I’m so excited to be touring Northern Saskatchewan communities with Kenton,” said Susan McKenzie. “Too many northern communities are facing housing crises with limited options. I’m hopeful that through the grit and determination of northern municipal leaders and community input on future collaborations and project planning and with experts like Kenton offers. We look forward to working together with northerners to positively impact and improve the ongoing issues plaguing many of our northern municipalities.

On the tour, McKenzie and Zerbin will visit 11 northern communities:

November 30 -- Northern Village of Air Ronge
December 1 -- Northern Hamlet of Weyakwin
December 2 – Northern Village of Sandy Bay
December 3 – Northern Village of Cumberland House
December 5 – Northern Village of Green Lake
December 6 – Northern Hamlet of Cole Bay
December 7 – Northern Hamlet of Jans Bay
December 8 – Northern Hamlet of Michel Village
December 9 – Northern Village of Buffalo Narrows
December 10 – Northern Hamlet of St. George’s Hill
